A longer, more wonkish piece that I think is valuable is Common Ground between AI 2027 & AI as Normal Technology, an adversarial collaboration between two groups of experts who believe different things; however I would not send this to someone as their first introduction to AI safety.

I also find Joe Carlsmith's Otherness and Control in the Age of AGI sequence to be quite thoughtful, but it is very long.
